Brain Freeze

I am suffering a serious bout of brain freeze, sometimes known as procrastination. I love the initial creation of a story, coming up with the ideas and putting them on paper. I’m okay with reading through the manuscript and making notes and writing the changes. I enjoy the feedback of my beta readers and like the new ideas that come from it.

But once I am faced with a manuscript covered with notes, then I have to work. It’s the only part of writing that feels like drudgery. Typing all of those changes into the manuscript. So what do I do? Well, I’ve finished reading a novel, visited my favorite forum and spent a good hour chatting, and now I’m writing a blog. Meanwhile, page twenty-three is on it’s handy little page-holder waiting to be dealt with. And now that my blog is almost done, I fear I must go to it and see what I can do to make this manuscript a book worth reading.
