I’d like to introduce a great new website to all indie authors and readers out there, and to express my appreciation for allowing my latest book “The Healer’s Dance” (coming out this weekend) to be the selected choice for their November Reading Group.
Sometimes life as an author can feel like an uphill battle with little support, and mostly, this is the author’s fault. Having always wanted to be a writer, I was sorely disappointed in high school when my “Match preferences to the Job” skill test came back and writers were listed highly in the “Social” category. Not only was I not social, but out of six, my top three were Artistic, Investigative, & Realistic with nary a Social thought in my head. Apparently, I wasn’t meant to be a writer.
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
Well, to be successful, a writer must communicate not just on the fiction level, but to other writers, to review sites, to friends and family and strangers. Writers really DO need to be social. So if you’ve written something, get out there and talk to people!
The folks at http://www.read2review.com are absolutely wonderful, so don’t be shy. Come visit their site!
